Edited my Uncle's Eulogy

My boyfriend and I were on an Anniversary trip when I received an SMS from my stepmom saying that my father's youngest brother had died due to a massive heart attack at work.

We immediately went to my uncle's wake in Navotas.

My relatives on my father's side maintain a distant relationship. I am closer to my relatives on my mother's side.
This was the first time that I met one of my uncles, some of my cousins and some of my grandma's relatives.

I do not know much about the uncle that died. I just know that he's the youngest, he lives in Navotas and he's the favorite child of my grandma.

I wasn't able to attend the eulogy during the last wake because I was at work and that my father left for Malaysia that day so no one will be able to drop me off.

When I edited the video, I was able to learn more about my uncle, Manuelito Sagaya Melencio. People call him Luteng. Like all my uncles on my father's side, he was also an activist.

Wanted: Female Dachshund

I was browsing the Internet looking for effective ways on how to take care of my other dog, GORBY, a half terrier, half shih tzu 1 year old dog that we have in the office when it suddenly occurred to me, my beloved dog, BOGART is turning 4 years old this year.

The impending thought of losing my BOGART scared me. The average lifespan of a dog is 12-15 years. So I only have a few years left to share with my dog -- my baby. I want my dog to experience all the dog things that he has to experience while he is still with me -such as having a partner and having beautiful puppies.

I am looking for a female dachshund, preferably 3 years of age, a bit skinny like my dog, pure breed with papers to be my dog's partner.

PLEASE FIND A PARTNER FOR MY BABY. :)

(This photo was taken when BOGART was more than a year old)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BABE!

2012.. HAPPY

Hi guys! It's my first ever blog post for this year! I'm so happy I can now update my blog again. It's been like what? 5 months? Oh my god! I think I haven't posted anything since August. Anyway, I'm using MS word 2010 (It's really cool! I can automatically send my blog post without opening my site.) for this post so I don't really know the exact date of my last post.

How was my Holidays? Well, it's good! I just mellowed down from the old "party-everyday-until-you-drop-even-if-it's-a-weekday" kind of thing. I attended a christening (Baby MARGAUX, the sweet little angel), attended a Christmas Party (KF friends), attended a gift-giving event with my girlfriends (Marielle, Azalea and Cristina), went to Grandmas at Christmas morning to eat and open gifts but spent both Christmas and New Year's eve with my nephew and nieces, my mom and my sister.

I'm actually at work right now but since my boss told me to wait for his call, I can do blog posts while waiting. Haha! BTW, I'm now studying (again). Last day of Xmas vacation today and back to school tomorrow. Stressful. I have to finish this Psych project today.

So many thoughts, so little time! Let's make posting in my blog a habit. I'll try to post something here at least once a week. Okay?

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

What Are You Waiting For?

I miss partying, INDIE STYLE. I haven't gone to a "drink till you turn purple and die to live again" kind of party for the longest time. It feels like ages ago...

Now, all I see, hear and feel are  butterflies, rainbows, flowers and lots of sunshine... Hey, I'm not complaining! It's just that when you start to neglect something, you tend to miss it..

Can I have both? Love and partying? <3

122 days of Love and still counting...

A major No-No in every blog, account or whatsoever in the Internet would be never as in never post a photo of you and your significant other. For what reason? Well, duh. It is in order to avoid painful memories and tiresome "deleting acts" when you break up.

I have had a lot of exes ever since I started this blog and I have just posted just one opposite sex here and since it's our 4th monthsary (yey.), I will post this picture.

Why am I doing this? Because I am optimistic about this relationship. I know this will be forever. I am willing to take the risk. This is the true essence of love, is it not?

I LOVE YOU RICKY BALDEZAR DE ASIS.

Typhoon Falcon

Typhoons and floods has devastated Metro-manila twice in a span of 2 years. I am deeply enraged by how indifferent and ignorant I was about these occurrences in the last 2 years. First off, there's typhoon Ondoy which claimed many lives. I will never forget that day..

I was drunk from partying the night before calamity struck. I slept through the whole ordeal. I mean, how pathetic and indifferent am I? I was awoken by my mother at around 6 in the evening (the floods came shortly after 1pm) and she brought me the bad news. I was completely disappointed with myself. Me, of all people would've known this first especially since a lot of my friends live in Marikina (Provident Village), which is, as you all know, the first place to suffer from the wrath of Typhoon Ondoy. After the incident, I planned to go to relief operations from different organizations but due to complications (differences in ideology between my parents' beliefs between organizations), I wasn't able to do anything but rant this frustration on my blog.

Then, this! Typhon Falcon. This storm has devastated Marikina and the entire metro yet again. I remain indifferent after 2 years. Is this my nature? I have been hibernating in my room since the storm began. It was just utter disappointment. The next day, (June 25) my father called, he asked us to help with the repacking of relief goods to give out in an evacuation center along Marikina. This was the time that I needed. Time to help in my own little way. Luckily my Montague is there and is willing to help....

This is a soft-snap photo of the relief goods. They are on their way to go to an evacuation center in F. Castillo St., Marikina City. We didn't go there. We just stayed within the PLM (Partido Lakas ng Masa) premises.

A somewhat artistic shot of my Montague and of me smoking. These are not the entire relief goods. The pictures came in after. We were pre-occupied people! I will get the pictures from the repacking somehow. A BMP/ PLM person shot a couple of pictures there.

My Montague doesn't like pictures. He's always moving!

There you go. All sweats for the sake of helping. It really feels good and nice :).

We know what we did was only a small part compared to what others have done. We would like to know your story. Come share us your Ondoy/Falcon or any other Typhoon/Calamity story. Comment if you must and share your blog links.

Thank you for helping my Montague.
Love and will always love you, your Capulet.
